Academic Educator Details:
- 70% academic, 30 % patient care position
- Didactic lectures, problem-based learning, and designing a new curriculum
- Collaborate with other specialty educators - report to department & vice dean of education
- Associate or Assistant Professor appointment
- 250-260 medical students per class
- Sample Schedule:
- 3x 1/2 days of clinic per week (consults or ER)
- 2x 1/2 days of small groups
- 1/2 day of didactics
- 4x 1/2 days of curriculum
- Rounding in AM with residents, no overnight call
- EMR: Cerner
- Will consider non-teaching roles at one of the 5 state hospitals the University partners with
