Optimum has partnered with a hospital in northern Virginia, just 30 minutes from Washington, D.C., that has an opening for a Section Chief of Benign Hematology to lead their team.

This is a great opportunity to lead a reputable, established team in a major metropolitan area. Plus, enjoy excellent benefits and competitive compensation.

About the Position:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Call Requirement: Every 4th or 5th weekend, 1-2 holidays per year, and 1-2 night shifts per month
  • Fellows take first call
  • Case Types: 100% benign hematology
  • Academic opportunities available
  • 3 Hematologists on the Benign Hematology team
  • 9 Hematology Oncology fellows rotating in the system
  • Must be board-certified or board-eligible
  • Prior director experience preferred
