Optimum is proud to partner with a reputable hospital in Miami, Florida, with an opening for a Medical Director to lead their Structural Heart Disease program.


Your specialized expertise will play an instrumental role in helping a leading health system grow its Structural Heart Disease program.


About the Position:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Optional STEMI call coverage, 1:5 or 1:6 rotation
  • Setting: 2-3 days per week in the cath lab, 1.5 days per week in the clinic
  • Current Annual Case Volume: 100 TAVRs, 30 MitraClips, and 50 WATCHMAN
  • Caseload: 90% clinical, 10% administrative
  • Team Structure: 1 other structural heart physician, 9 interventional cardiologists, 1 structural heart fellow, and 3 interventional cardiology fellows
  • Full clinical and subspecialty support
  • EMR: Epic
  • Must have academic experience
  • Must be board-certified
